Key-locked meter valves

The law prescribes that meter valves should also be equipped with a security key.

System parts adjacent to the meter, both upstream and downstream, are extremely important in the field of Natural Gas distribution.
Meter valves enable intercepting gaseous fluids both upstream and downstream of the metering device and must ensure perfect sealing. Produced in chrome-plated brass in order to resist to the aggression of atmospheric agents, meter valves guarantee the interruption of the gas flow and the safety of the system in cases of necessity. With this in mind, once closing occurs the flow must not be accidently restarted except by the end user.
To this end, the GNALI BOCIA catalogue presents meter valves equipped with a key for freely accessible systems. The key is left with the user who may restart supply once the emergency situation requiring shut-off is resolved.
There are also meter valves without security keys; these must be placed in external niches equipped with a lock as required by current legislation.
They can also be found combined with mounting brackets in the two most commonly used thread sizes. These supports are also supplied with a threaded and vented sleeve, allowing measuring the system’s pressure.
